A New Dish Idea For Your Party Table: Konjac Sashimi

by Keiko Yoshizawa 19 Sep 2024

Introducing a New Appetizer for Your Party!

For those who are not fans of raw fish but want to expand their options for healthy appetizers or are following a vegan diet, we have a recommendation for you: sashimi konjac.

Sashimi konjac is made to be eaten raw, just like sashimi. As the name suggests, it is thinly sliced and sold in that form. The basic way to enjoy sashimi konjac is dipping it in soy sauce, but it also pairs well with condiments like gochujang or sweet chili sauce.

It's delicious served on salads or even eaten like carpaccio!

Believe it or not, konjac can also transform into a dessert. After thoroughly draining the water from sashimi konjac, you can sprinkle it with kinako (roasted soybean flour) and drizzle it with kuromitsu (black sugar syrup) for a tasty snack. While it might seem surprising, the taste is similar to mochi.

If you want to enjoy konjac sweets in a more convenient format, there's Pac Pac Snacks! Pac Pac Snacks use konjac but these treats are more like eating jelly candies. Despite being low in calories, low in carbohydrates, and zero fat, they are flavorful, slightly chewy and incredibly delicious.

With many cute packaging options available, just having them on display can liven up your party. You can even use Pac Pac Snacks to make vegan dessert sushi. If you haven't tried these treats yet, be sure to give them a try!
